Radhika Apte is a popular name in Marathi and South Indian Films. She hails from Pune known as a the cultural city of Maharashtra in the year 19885 on 7th of September in a well known family of Dr. Charudutt Apte the popular neurosurgeon of Sahyadri Hospital. She did her graduation in Mathematics and Economics from the popular college Fergusson College Pune. After her education, she got the chance to work in a couple of movies, however, after doing them she left to London to join the popular Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance to learn and study contemporary dance.

Radhika Apte has been approached to a play the leading role opposite Akshay Kumar in his upcoming movie. He has gave his acceptence to R Balki's next. This is first time for the actors to share the screen space. Akki and Apte will make a fresh, interesting pairing.
